- Kagemni -

Kagemni was a high-ranking official of the end of the 5th and the beginning of the 6th Dynasty. He was appointed to the royal service during the reign of Unas and became Vizier during the reign of the next king, Teti. He was buried in a mastaba next to the pyramid of Teti at Saqqara-North.

A wisdom text, probably written by an unknown author during the Middle Kingdom, was credited to a man named Kagemni. If the Kagemni in this wisdom text is the same as the late Old Kingdom vizier, it is an indication that Kagemni was remembered until long after his death.
