Horus, who pacifies the Two Lands

This Horus-name is often interpreted as an indication that Teti brought peace to the country that may, at the end of the 5th Dynasty, have been divided. On the other hand, the pacification of the Two Lands was one of the many traditional duties of the king, so the name may have had a purely symbolic meaning as well.

tti, mr n ptH

Teti, beloved of Ptah

Teti was adored in the Saqqara-region by this name. The reference to Ptah, the patron god of Memphis, is thus not surprising.
